The stories contained in this book are from a Bible
study the author did at a local nursing home. She did not mean to do more than
a few cat stories. The residents had other plans. They wanted more cat stories!
Not only did the residents want more cat stories,
they also wanted a book, so they could review studies and catch up on ones they
might have missed. Hence, the birth of this of cat devotional book.
Each entry starts with a story about the stray cat
that hung around their house. It is then followed by a Bible Lesson showing how
the cat was an example of a passage of Scripture.
For example, in the first story, the stray cat was
unable to take care of herself, but ran away whenever someone tried to approach
her. Finally, she knew she needed help, asked for it and received it. In the
same way, we find ourselves needing the Lord. We approach and receive the help
we so desperately need.
Eventually, the cat joins the family and is given
a name – Blessing.
I found the book to be a good and enjoyable read.
Some of the stories I could relate to, some not so much.
Two thumbs up on this one.
