Thursday, July 12, 2021 was this year's Cat Video Festival at CHS Field in St. Paul, MN. It was fun to go again after having it canceled last year.
I enjoyed Artists Alley and I am hoping to be one of the artists next year. I had a good chance to talk with an artist whose work I liked from our previous visit. This year I was able to buy some of her work.
This year's charity rescue was Bitty Kitty Brigade.bittykittybrigade.org Their mission is to rescue newborn kittens, hand feed them and then prepare them for adoption. We each received a bottle of hand sanitizer, bought two pins and gave a cash donation.
The videos were fun, although there was one neither of us liked. A kitty had his or her head stuck in a tissue box, obviously in distress. The person just kept filming instead of removing the box. I'm sure whoever it was did that eventually, but I think they waited too long.
Plans for next year include submitting photos and videos of our kitties and hopefully I'll have a table in Artists Alley.
