The cosplay I had been working on has ground to a halt. The last time I tried on what I had made so far resulted in the sound of a seam ripping. Until I lose some weight, that cosplay is no longer possible.
I am now going in a completely different direction. It is a different take on Wonder Woman. As with the Angelique cosplay, I have gained too much weight to look good in a Wonder Woman costume (I do have a pattern for it and will make it one day). Instead, I will be re-imagining her as a 50's high school student.
I have most of the items I need: wig, tiara, bracelets, a red 3/4 sleeve cardigan, a white blouse, white ankle socks, and red and white saddle shoes. All that is left is a gold neck scarf, a Wonder Woman patch to put on the sweater, and a poodle-style skirt made out of royal blue fabric with white stars. (I have a crinoline on order to wear under the poodle-style skirt. Cheaper then trying to make it myself.) The remaining items are all available on Amazon.
The plan is to have it ready by the MCBA SpringCon in May.
A photo will be posted when it is finished.
